I wanted to do everything: full-time school, full-time job, volunteering for the European Institutions and the Psychological Association… and then I failed at three of them within a few months.

You might be used to some accounts being heavily self-promoting. Let me be really honest here…

I do not have any problem with that; I love cheering on the small and big victories of others.

However, I find it really relatable when someone has the courage to open up. So.. I will try it too.

In 2023, I experienced burnout. I wanted to do everything. I was studying Psychology full-time for a Master’s. I had a full-time job. I volunteered as an EU Careers Ambassador for EPSO and served as Vice President for external relations at SAŠAP.

I was constantly stressed, and I failed. I failed people who counted on me.

I was not handling the SAŠAP workload well. I was not replying to emails, and I was not able to manage 15+ groups of amazing students at the university. I had to quit.

I was unable to travel to the conference in Luxembourg, where I was kindly invited by EPSO as an EU Careers Student Ambassador. I was exhausted. So I had to quit.

I was announced as a Student Ambassador for the Psychology Institution. I did not read my school emails, as I was overwhelmed with my full-time job. I missed a very important school meeting, and the professors were disappointed.

Then the promotion in my job came. And I was happy at first, but then…

I cried so much.

I could not manage a full-time job with my new managerial position.

So I quit university too.

The thing is, I quit SAŠAP and EU Careers, because I was exhausted. I quit school because I gave up.

Not even a year later, I gave up my managerial position too.

2 years later, I quit my job too and yet, this is the one thing I do not regret from all of those four.

I sacrificed so much for just one thing…

Money.

I needed them. We all do. It is human, just as the mistakes I have made are.

Value…

… is something I gave up just to earn some money. In the next two years of that same job, I felt miserable.

I see it differently now…

The point here is that I want you to know me before I write another post here.
